I have found in a book "FROM TENNESSEE TIDBITS, 1778-1914" by Marjorie Fischer & Ruth Bains a mention of WILLIAM FLETCHER and family from the August Term 1811 at Robertson county,TN
"WILLIAM FLETCHER made a deed of gift at the August term 1811 to PATSY FLETCHER, LAZARUS FLETCHER, BETSY FLETCHER, PEGGY FLETCHER& PEGGY FLETCHER (sic) proved by Charles Lockhart (ROB TN, CT COURT MIN 3/6) A deed of gift from WILLIAM FLETCHER to his wife & children for a certain property was proved.
I believe this is the Revolutionary War Soldier: CAPTAIN WILLIAM FLETCHER who was born 1758 Stafford County,VA and served the Iredel Co.,NC line under Locke. He died in JACKSON COUNTY,ALABAMA in 1837. It is suspected that he had married Margaret (Peggy)Cargile. He had daughters Elizabeth Fletcher, Margaret Fletcher. Sons, JAMES FLETCHER, JOHN FLETCHER, WILLIAM FLETCHER, and LAZARUS FLETCHER. He stated in his revolutionary declaration that he had lived in NC,VA,TN,KY and moved to Alabama in 1818.

Would like to speak with anyone in possesion of Jackson Co.,Marriages in this time period and of couse to anyone related to this family.

I am Nadine Christall and I do FLETCHER family research.
