We am looking for the parents of James C. Nelson, born 1812 probably in VA but could be in Rutherford County TN. He married Miss Martha Louisa Summerville Norman [born Feb 13, 1816 in Rutherford County TN] in 1834. They had about 9 children. My line is through Amanda Josephene Rosetta Nelson born 1844 in Rutherford County, TN.

She named my grandfather "Henry Nelson" Gordon presumably for James dad. Any help would be appreciated.
