SMITH
Clara Lee Smith, 70, of Oneida, passed away April 23, 2004, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida.
Born in Harlan, Ky., March 10, 1934, she was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Marietta Goodman; her husband, Clifford Smith; infant son, Kent Smith; three brothers: Andrew Goodman, Eugene Goodman, and Calvin Goodman; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Smith; and mother- and father-in-law, Goldman and Letha Smith.
She was a member of Macedonia Christian Center.
She is survived by five sons: Gilbert Phillips and wife, Connie, of Oneida; Earl Smith and wife, Jay Lynn, of Huntsville; Clifford Junior Smith, and Marvin Smith and wife, Brenda, all of Pioneer; and Keith Smith and wife, Mona, of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters: Lou Reed and husband, Robin, of Pensacola, Fla.; and Carol Sue Thornton and husband, Louis, of Oneida; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one brother, Kenneth Goodman and wife, Shirley, of S.C.; one sister, Truie Durenski and husband, Don, of Brookville, Ind..; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted April 25, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Woods officiating. Music was provided by Jimmy and Tammy Hill. Interment followed in Peaceful Rose Garden Cemetery.
West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
