I am sorry to hear about your loss. My grandfather (Edwin Martin) also was a Ritter person and retired from Gerogia Pacific. He came to New River, Tn from Fitzpatrick, W. Va. about 1932.

My mother, Helen Martin Shoemaker, is still living and has always talked about her life in Fitzpatrick, W. Va and New River, Tn.

I failed to write all the stories she told and now her memories are lost to dementia.

I hope that you have been able to record some of the history Mr. Ingram lived and will have the opportunity to share with other Ritter off springs.
