Hi Folks
Old George Bush settled the place where mrs. Hodsden lived according to Goodspeed publishing the History of Tn. Dr Sharp local historian found his will in some papers somewhere in 1955 and archived them. The will was disputed and a court battle ensued for years. The will proved David Bush of Alabama and John Bush of Bedford va were Old George's brothers.Old George is listed as a Rev war soldier and had a land grant of 114 acres on the little east fork of the little pigeon river. I believe theres a school built on it. Old George died app 1837 and the land was sold to the Brabsons who bequeathed it to there daughter who married a Dr.Hodsden about 1845.David Bush's daughter Susannah Handy Bush b 1814 al married a Mcmahan in sevierville there first born child was Abigail Jane Mcmahan named for Abigail Renfro Davids first wife.
Questions
