Albert G. W. ALLEN b: 26 NOV 1856 d: 28 SEP 1931
+ Rachael Elizabeth PATTERSON b: 10 NOV 1859 d: 1 MAR 1923
My grandmother's grandfather John Newton Allen was 1/2 Cherokee Indian. According to her, his mother Rachel Elizabeth Patterson (who married Albert G.W. Allen) was Cherokee.
Rachel Elizabeth Patterson (and he husband) had at least 6 children: John Newton Allen, James S. Allen, Jolia A. Allen, Cassie C. Allen, Charles A. Allen, and Dessie Ann Allen.
The Allen line ( Albert GW Allen ) is from a line from Sevier County, TN that settled from VA originally around 1810. Prior to VA (around 1800) they came from Lancashire England. I was trying to find out more about the Patterson line. I'm not sure who Rachel Elizabeth's parents were. All I know is from what my Grandmother has told me and she is confirmed to have married Allbert per the Sevier County records. She is said to have been 100% Cherokee or at least a high percentage. Can anyone confirm anything about her Patterson line?
