Thank you for your response. It does appear that your and my husband are cousins. Your ggrandmother was his great aunt. It is so nice to find new cousins. Asa L. was b.abt.1863 in Sevier County,Tn 21 August 1938 in Sevier County. He married Margaret Kerby 23 Dec,1883 in Sevier County. She was the mother of his 3 children: Walter Braton b.19 Aug 1884 in Sevier County, Eddie Lafayette b.Jan 1886 in Sevier County and Julianna (or Julia Anna)
b.Sept 1888 in Sevier County. I have no more info on Margaret but I suspect she had died bef 1892 because in the 1900 census he was married to Analichie(or Amolechta) Morgan. By the time he died in 1938, according to his obituary, he was married to Mary Adcock.

Walter was still at home in the 1900 census but we believe he left not long after. He landed in east Texas around the corner of Texas,Okla. and Ark., where he married Addie Chadwick of Okla. And yes it is certainly possible, maybe even probable, that he was in SW Missouri on his way to Texas. We know nothing of his life before he married Addie. He was very secretive about his life before that. He would not talk about, nor allow any of the family to ask about his previous life. It has taken us many years to find out what we know now.

My husband does recall a visit from "some people" to the home of Walter's daughter in New Mexico .(He was staying with her at the time.) He was just a child but he does recall hearing something about "Your sister Julie" After they left Walter said nothing and never mentioned the visit again.I have more in fo on the descendents, if you would like to email me privately at hurstja1@yahoo.com

As for Andrew, I have most of the info you gave me. I had found Andrew and Mary in the 1880 census but according to the book on the White Caps written by E.W. Crozier, published in 1899, the age of Mrs. Breeden is not quite right. However he may have gotten his info from a second hand guess. I did not know the names of Andrew's parents or that "Bell" was Isabelle. Thank you for that info. I still can't fit Andrew into our line until I find John and Nancy. Anyway thank you and I look forward to sharing more info with you.
