LANE FAMILY HISTORY INFO NEEDED

Please help!! If anyone has any information on the Lane family of Sevier County, I would greatly appreciate any help given! This is the family of George Washington Lane who married Martha Eslinger. George Washington Lane's father was (I think) Moses E. Lane. I believe Moses' parents to be Alex Sims and Mary Lane. That is as far back as I've been able to get. If anyone can help me, I would be forever greatful! My daughter needs this information for an upcoming report at her high school regarding her family tree. What the teacher is actually looking for is any ancestors' involvement in the Civil War.
