James and Mary J. McLish Johnson lived in Shelby County, TN in the 1840's and maybe into the 1860's. They may have lived in DeSoto County, MS at some point during that time period. I am looking for ANYTHING I can find on this family. They had a daughter named Laura Jane Johnson who married Mazeppa Turner. Their son Thomas W. Johnson married Mazeppa's sister Rosa B. Turner. These two couples moved to the Chickasaw Nation in Indian Territory in the late 1860's or early 1870's. I need parents, siblings, and children for James Johnson and for his wife Mary J. McLish.
