3-8-1978 COMMERCIAL APPEAL (Memphis, TN)
STANLEY O'BRIEN "DUSTY" FORD, 78, of 851 North Perkins, retired horse trainer, died at 8:01 a.m. yesterday at Baptist Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in National Cemetery. He was a veteran of World Wars I and II. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Ford; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Haun of Knoxville and Mrs. Frances Beasley of Cleveland, Tenn.; a son, Charles Edsel Ford of Knoxville; a step son, John J. Coots of Jackson, Ga., 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
By the way, we take photos in Memphis National Cemetery and post them at www.FindaGrave.com. We recently took a picture of his headstone and it's posted there if you would like to see it. It is actually Site 7715 in Section A.
