Your information regarding Mary E(Ellen) Newland Hord is correct. She married 4 Sep 1919 to Eldridge Hord, of Church Hill and lived at New Canton aka Grindstone Hill until she died in Jan 1990 (one month from her 100th birthday.) She had three children Eldridge Hord, Jr., Mary Alice Hord Backer and Helen Rhea Hord Testerman. I know nothing of the Wilson family. Margaret Shaver was her first cousin, of which she had 56. I will be happy to answer questions you may have regarding that line of the Newland family. All of the Newland children are deceased the last one in 2002.
