Elisha Adams: 1796 - 1797 Sullivan Co Tax Lists

The Sullivan County Tax Lists for 1796 and 1797 include an Elisha Adams. I am trying to determine if this is the same Elisha Adams who later appeared on the tax records in Lee Co, VA in 1799. I am also wondering if this might be the same individual who was listed in the 1790 - 1792 Poll Tax in Wilkes Co, NC. Any information regarding this person will be greatly appreciated. Wayne Adams
