Crow, Ramsey, Stuckey, James Connection in Tipton 1850 census

Does anyone know anything about the Ramsey family of Hester Crow? I was searching for Mary Ramsey James, when I found James Crow and Hesta on the 1850 Tipton Co., TN census with John 12, Mary J. 7, James L 2, Margaret Stuckey 19 NC and Mary James 61 NC.

My Mary James was the daughter of Thomas Ramsey and wife Sara (Unknown) of New Hanover Co., NC. Thomas' will (seen on the New Hanover County website) names one of his daughters Mary James. I do not know who she married or where they lived after Thomas died and most of the rest of the family left NC. Mary Ramsey had a sister Elizabeth who married Samuel Stuckey and lived in Hayden Co., TN, so the Margaret Stuckey leads me to believe that this is Mary Ramsey James from NH County. Elizabeth Ramsey and Samuel Stuckey's son Owen had a daughter named Hester Jane b. 1841 who may have been named for the same person as the Hesta Crow on the census. But then who is Margaret Stuckey? I don't have a Margaret Stuckey in my data base.

Does any of this make any sense at all. I am grasping at straws here.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. I have Ramsey info to share if one is connected and/or interested.

Betty
