Thanks for your reply. I have found a website that traces the Walk family back to Germany and was able to connect my grandfather, W.A. Archer to his father Charles W.and Susan Ann Walk.I agree with you, poor Jerusha had a load on her!
I am wondering in your research if you came across much info on Charles W. Archer, Susan Ann Walk's husband. He is my gr grandfather and I have a census showing he is the son of Charles C. Archer(b. abt 1807) and Margaret Coleburn. I have been searching for months looking to positively identify Charles C.'s parents. I believe they were Charles C. and Elizabeth Prior, of VA. They moved to NC then in 1832, after Charles C. sr.'s death Elizabeth and most of her family appear in Warren Co. MO- but not my Charles. He appears in 1829 in Madison Co.,TN as a witness to a land deal, then marries in 1832 in Maury Co.,TN and gets lost until 1850 when he appears with family in Tipton Co.,TN. My Charles C. is a big mystery to me!
