Have ROGERS family in White Co. TN 1830-1850 who had family who went to AR (Johnson Co). Trying to find more info on my Hiram ROGERS b.c.1800 GA md Elizabeth CAMPBELL 1824 in McMinn Co. TN. Hiram s/o Joseph W. ROGERS & Rachel MERRELL. Found they had at least 4 children: "Maybe" b.c.1824, Martha b.c. 1825, son b.c.1827 & Louisa b.c.1830 all in White Co.TN. "Maybe" is my line and I have nothing else on other children.
Hiram had a daughter (I call"Maybe" who md a Mr. JONES (maybe s/o James JONES & Ann HURT) and had 3 children: Eliza JONES b.c.1841, James JONES b.c.1844 & Charles A. JONES b.c.1845, all in White Co. TN. These children's parents apparently died before 1850 and they are listed with grandmother Elizabeth ROGERS in 1850 and have the ROGERS surname (family history says they took the ROGERS name). Hiram & Elizabeth ROGERS are in Catoosa Co.GA in 1860 & 1870 where they died.
Have lines down from my ancestor Charles A. JONES-ROGERS and also his brother James & sister Eliza.
Like to know if any of these ancestors might be listed in your Uncle Cliff's book. Thanks, Becky
