I have looked at the Cutrells in Hyde Co. but cannot prove a connection yet. My eldest Cutrell is Joseph Cutrell who married Margaret Spring(s). Joseph's mother is Milney Unknown who married a Cutrell, and we (the cousins & myself) cannot locate a marriage for Milney, although the children were born in NC and most married in Smith or Wilson counties, TN. We do know that the Cutrell's (other various spellings) came to NC from VA, but don't know which branch we come from.
Margaret Spring was b. Jan 1800 in NC, married Joseph Cutrell in 1823 in Wilson co., TN, and moved to Williamson Co., IL where she died in 1854. She is buried in the Crossroad Cemetery in Marion, Williamson co., IL.
Joseph and Margaret had the following children:
