My great-great grandmother is Elizabeth Hill (born 1800 in VA, died 10 Jun 1871 in Benton Co., MO) who married Zachariah Davis 30 Nov 1815 in Wilson Co., TN. Her parents were Capt. John Hill (born abt 1775 in VA, died 15 Feb 1814 in War of 1812) and Juda/Judith Scurlock, born abt 1779 in Halifax Co.,VA, died 1836/38 in Wilson Co., TN, married 1 Jul 1799 in Halifax Co., VA. She was the daughter of Thomas Scurlock and Juda/Judith Farguson.)
Judith Scurlock had a sister, Betsy Scurlock, born abt 1785, who married Amos Hill on 21 Jan 1805 in Halifax Co., VA; and a brother, Beverly Scurlock, who married Elizabeth Harpole 13 Mar 1815 in Wilson Co., TN.
John Hill and Judith Scurlock had the following children: Allen,(married Sarah Peace) Thomas B.,(married Elizabeth Johnson) Braxton Brantley,(married Mary Tarpley) John C., Elizabeth,(married Zachariah Davis) Meecy,(married John Cowger) Martha(married William B.
