Searching for more information on the parents of Christopher Columbus Brown. He was also known as CC or Lum. He was born 12 June 1846 in Wilson County TN. Died 6 Sep 1918 in Webster Co. KY and is buried in the cemetery of Rock Springs Baptist Church outside Wheatcroft KY.
We do not know anything about his father other than that one day he and a mule went to the mill with some grain and only the mule and milled grain returned.
His mother (we believe) was named Mary E. (King?), and was born in 1828 in Wilson Co. TN. She remarried a Lewis B. Vaughan (born 1826 Wilson Co. TN) on 3 Oct 1848.
Lewis and Mary had two children, Joel (Joseph) Calhoun Vaughan, and Willis Vaughan.
CC and Joel married two daughters of James Crocket O'Neal in Crittenden Co. KY: Priscilla (Privie) Jane and Cynthia (Synthia).
