I have this information on Thomas Babb from one of Mr. Partlow's wonderful books.
Bill of complaint of James M. Hunt, guardian of Pamelia Babb, Mary Jane Babb, and Elizabeth Babb, all minor heirs of Thomas Babb, against Wiliam P. F. Babb, Edward Powell and his wife Hicksey E. T.; and Bennett Babb and Mathew Horn, executors of Thomas Babb. Thomas Babb made his will on 16 Nov 1840 and died. He left the wards of the complainant who are his children by his third wife with whom he did not live very happily. The defendant Hicksey E. T. is by his second wife, and Defendant William by his first wife. The complaint sttes that "Powell intends to move to Texas." 12 November 1848 Chancery Book D, Pp 568-574)
