TODD's of the 1790's from Va. to Ky.
Posted by: Timothy W. Todd Date: June 08, 1999 at 20:15:34
In Reply to: Washinton Co., Va. TODD's 1780-1790's by Timothy W. Todd of 6793

I would like to say about this information that people should treat it as "leads" and not gospel!! I've gathered this info from cencus and tax records from the areas mentioned, and also from other Pulaski Todd researchers. The idea of seven brothers in this area stems from clues and Land Warrents where they helped each other aquire land ca. 1820's & 30's. "Tradition" from our family says that we are kin to Mary Todd Lincoln but no ties have been found yet that would prove this. Tradtion also says that Robert and Anderson where brothers do to my gr.uncle saying that his parents where third cousins. The *astrick shows these lines. I believe these Todd's came from Ireland abt. the time of the American Revolution. Again these are my notes and would love to hear via-email abt. ideas on these Todd's. Any corrections or mistakes pointed out are so very welcomed!! I will be loosing my internet connection and will not be able to answer follow up post so e-mail will be welcomed.
