to judy penski- my grandmother's cousin was george (specs) toporczer. her maiden name was julia (julicka) toporczer- she came to the u.s. in 1905 as a gift (her passage was paid by her uncle andrew in return for her father's having taken care of andrew's family before he could send for them) she lived with uncle andrew's family at first and then as a live in maid until she married my grandfather, stephen havanich. what i know about uncle andrew is that he was a shoemaker in hungary and a butcher here.
