My great grandmother was Therese (a.k.a. Tessie) Tozer from St. Louis, MO. Following are the rest of the memebers of her immediate family as taken from the 1880 U.S. Census (birthdates are based on age provided so allow for +/- a year on them). Parents were: Charles (b.1818 in IL) Ann (b.1841 in Ireland) Children still living with them in 1880: Charles W. (b.1858) John T. (b.1859) Anna M. (b.1861) Elizabeth (b.1864) Richard (b.1866) Albert P. (b.1868) Tessie (b.1872) Martin (b.1873) Francis (b.1877) Authur (Arthur?) (b.1879) I have a little info about Martin having a son (Martin Jr.) who later became Sheriff of Creve Coeur, MO. It is part of our family-known information that we are descended from one of the Julius Tozers who fought in the Revolutionary War & the War of 1812 and received an honorable discharge from the service, I believe during the latter. Please contact me if you have any information about this line or think you might be related. You can respond to me directly at sarah717@adelphia.net. Thank you!
