Thanks so much for the information, George. I have names and dates from David Traill b. 1695 (?)onward but nothing before that so I was happy to hear about David Trail, Sr. When you say someone was transported, does that mean they were indentured servants? I read in one of the postings that you wrote a book "An American Trail",how would I go about obtaining one? I am impressed by the dedication and knowledge of the people on this site, it's overwhelming. I had no idea there was so much Trail information. If anyone is interested or descended from Samuel Trail I have some information on his sons: Thomas Henry, Charles H., Samuel Wesley, John Solomon, and Phillip H. (my great grandfather).
