Hi-- I am not sure anyone will see this, but I will reply anyway. Nicholas Brokenshire Tregonning and Mary Ann Hancock had 8 children the oldest of whom was William Tregonning, born about 1826 in St. Austell. (No baptism records found). William married an Elizabeth Hendy on Nov 25, 1848 at Holy Trinity church in St. Austell. As of 1851, WIlliam and Elizabeth were living with Elizabeth's family on Holmbush Lane in St. Austell. The young couple had a 2 month old son named John. By 1861, the 10 year old John continues to live with his grandparents in St. Austell. NO SIGN of William and Elizabeth. Perhaps they emigrated or perhaps they both passed. If they emigrated, why did they leave their son behind?
