Hi Richard,
I found the name Franklin in the 1880 US Census in Oakfield, WI. As for Ellen's nickname "Ellie", I don't remember where I saw it, but it was from a vital document or newspaper article. Most of this families information is from vital records, census, and newspapers. Keep me in mind if you discover Andrew & Ellen's parents.
