Jane Turns was John Stanford Turns' daughter. Her mother was Jane Robinson. They married in Northumberland, England in 1848, where Jane was born in 1851, and the family emigrated to the U.S. in 1852, and then to Duck Lake, Fruitland Township, in 1854 along with Jane's parents and siblings.
