I am quite sure that Nancy Tuttle was the daughter of Eli and Ruth Scott Tuttle. She was born 20Oct1818, Canaan, Somerset, Maine. She married Moses Badger [b. 3Jun1786, Concord, Merrimac, New Hampshire], probably in 1850 and probably in Canaan. She was the mother of George Washington Badger, born about 1856 in Canaan, Maine. Moses had previously been married to Cynthia Cleveland; married 1Apr1809 in Clinton, Kennebec, Maine; source: New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol. 111, Page 114 "Families in Clinton Maine". Moses and Nancy were on the 1850 Canaan census; the 1860 Skowhegan, Somerset, Maine Census where they were both, together with their son George, living at the "Poor Farm", listed as paupers. It appears that Moses died before the 1870 census, as Nancy was listed at the "Poor Farm" in Skowhegan in the 1870 census. She was also listed in the 1880 Skowhegan census, also noted as being blind at the "Poor Farm".
