My grandfather was Oswald Harold ( Harry ) Udy , and lived in Colwinston,near Cowbridge from roughly 1940.He had a brother named Pem, and died in 1976.Before moving to Colwinston he worked as a footman in London, where he met and married Grace. (not sure of her maiden name at the moment).
I have only just started to look into this, and will give more info as I find it.
