I try to track the first 2 generation of the Ulm/Woolam/Ullam/Ollom/Ulam families that are the descendents of Jacob Ulm and Maria Magdalena Boeshaar. I also follow into more contemporary times, the Ollom/Ollum and Ullom families that lived in Monroe County Ohio. Their names are often confused and I'm hoping to help sort it out.

Here is what I have on this family:
Family constructed from the 1860 Census Perry Twp., Monroe Co., OH
Enoch Ullom b. abt 1825, , , PA & wife Minorva (Ullom) b. abt 1828, , , VA
Children: Delilah Ullom b. 1849, , , VA & Levi Monteith b. abt 1845 m. 17 Sep 1868 (Source: From book, Monroe County Ohio records, by Catharine Foreaker Fedorchak Newspaper Transcription: Oct. 13, 1868 [Probably from the Spirit of Democracy], Monroe Co., OH, Married Sept. 17, Mr. Levi Monteith of Long Reach, W. VA and Miss Delilah Ullom of Matamoras, formerly of Graysville.)
Elizha Ullom b. 1851, , , VA
Francies Ullom b. 1853, , , VA
Daniel Ullom b. 1856, , , VA
Israel F. Ullom b. 1859, , , VA

I do not know how your Ulloms may have been conected but other Ulloms lived in Perry Township, Monroe Co., Ohio:
William W. Ullom and wife Judith Smith
Steven Ullom and Eleanor (Ellen) Mitchell.
Both were the sons of George Steven Ullom and Margaret Bowen who lived in Green County, PA. George was the son of Peter Ulm/Ullom. Peter was baptized "Ulm" at Earl Twp. Lancaster Co., PA. Later the Ulm family moved to Berkeley Co., (West) Virginia. The name Woolam was used in the Will of Jacob Ulm/Woolam but then so were other names. See the web page below.

Hope that helps, Penny Husler
