The following records were located in Kaufman Co., TX. I hope someone can identify the parents of both Mary Haltons who are listed below.
Kaufman Co., marriage record:
Mary Haltom md. Sept. 2, 1858 to Westley Umphress
Wesley (sic?) and Mary and their son Elkanan were located in the 1860 census of Kaufman, Kaufman Co. TX, P.O. Rockwell. However, their surname was misspelled to read "Humphres."
The Oakwood Cemetery, Terrell, Kaufman Co., TX shows:
Mary B. Halton, b. Mar 1, 1892, but date of death not shown on her headstone. Of course, she is not the same Mary as the one listed above.
