Hi Jane,

I've seen the book and the page that you mention, and have been contimplating this avenue too. Just started to research a bit into genealogical sources for Canada. There are so many possibilities here. Unfortunately, we've exhausted most of our town recources in Orange NY & Sussex County NJ. I was sort of hoping that someone else might have found a tie-in to this particular Peter. Another possibility (of many) is that he may be descendent from Herman Isaak, who moved to DE in 1701 (appears to have been quite a bit of governmental changes in PA during this time period, and I speculate that it's one of the reasons Herman moved away from PA in that year.) And then with the land disputes and Indian hostility nearing this timeframe in that area, might explain why his any of his children would go across the river.
