My great grandfather John Vacareni Vacca's real name in Italy was Gianni Spirito Vacha. When they arrived in Ellis Island someone misprinted his name changing it to John Vacareni Vacca--the first name is OK, but the middle name was completely wrong and the last name they mispelled. He had two brothers and they came over with him. Now, my great grandmothers last name really was Vacca and she was from Torino, Italy.
