Hi Charlie,
I recently joined genealogygroup1@yahoo.com and also saw your query there concerning the Vaden children. I don't have Vaden ancestors but I research in Bedford and found info on one of the children, Oscar Verner Vaden. His father was Jay William Vaden and his mother was Beulah (G.?)Bond. He was born in Montgomery Co., VA and died in Bedford Co., VA of pneumonia.

It's very sad to see a family with a loss of 4 children. I can't imagine how heartbreaking it must have been.

J.W. and Beulah Vaden, had another child born in Bedford, Emma D. Vaden, b. Dec. 18, 1915. The birth certificate stated the number of children born to this mother was 3 and number of children of this mother now living, including present birth 2. At the time Emma was born her father's age at last birthday was 23 and mother's age at last birthday was 24.

There were a few more details listed on the certificates such as parents place of birth (Montgomery Co., VA) and occupations (Father: saw milling and Mother: Housewife)

Hope this will be helpful to you.

Pat
