John G. son of Peter Vader,Pembroke, Genesee Co, NY - Mich

I am looking for information on John G. Vader from NY. On the 1880 Census he is a widower(was married to Nancy) w/ the housekeeper of Mary Butler-also a widow(wife of George Butler.
Some how Mary Butler is his cousin. I am looking for the connection. John G. died in Mich and Mary had a few of her chidlren in Mich. Mary also lived in NY and Ohio. John G. Vader died in Mich around 1883 Both were from the same county in NY near the SYracuse Albany Area.
Does anyone no the conection between John G. Vader and Mary..... I want Mary's maiden name and possibly her parents. Please this is driving me crazy.
