My mother's maiden name is Vadnais. My family comes from the Waterbury, Connecticut (New Haven County) area. I all four of my gradparents (all now deceased). My mother had 5 sisters and 7 brothers. Only she and 1 brother have died, leaving 11 still alive. I do not know the dates of birth, death or marriage of my grandparents, but with little effort I could find out. My Grandfather was Victor (known as "Pete") Vadnais and he had as many siblings as he had children. My grandmother was Alice Boucher, also about as many siblings as children. I believe that that generation of the family comes from the Quebec area, so there may be a connections.

To give you some idea of the timeline we are referring to - I am 53 yo. My mother was the 4th of 13 children, she was born Jan 21, 1921, died Dec. 14, 1995. All of my grandparents were born in the 19th Century. Alice (Boucher) Vadnais died sometime between Sept. 1966 and Aug 1968, in Connecticut. (Not certain of the date, I only remember I was on active duty in the NaVY). Victory (Pete) Vadnaise died in late 1971 (December, I think), in Florida.

This may or may not help you. Feel free to use or ignore what you want. If you think I can be of further help, just say so. But you don't need to feel obligated to respond.
