I'm seeking descendents of George Vail who appears on the 1860 census of Dutchess Co. New York at age 60 with wife Elizabeth age 50. I believe the daughter's name is Sarah J. age 20. His occupation was something to do with Oysters. I believe he is the son of Daniel Vail, and grandson of Nehemiah Vail. He is mentioned in the Alfred Vail papers as the only surviving child of Daniel and in possession of family history documents.
