I am also searching for Cyrille Vaillancourt and Melina Brideau. They are the parents of my paternal grandmother (ne Marie Vaillancourt). All I had to start with were the names.
In my search, I have found a Cyrille Vaillancourt and Melina Brideau listed online on a page called the Vaillancourt Genealogy -- descendents of Robert Vaillancourt of Normandy. The site lists Cyrille's paternal line back to 1601. The stats given are Cyrille Vaillancourt, born 04 Nov 1869 in Van Buren, married ca. 1894 to Melina Brideau (born circa 1874), died 1944. The website is http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/lwjones/vaillanc.htm.
I also found a marriage record on Maine.gov: Millina Brideau m. Cyril Viancourt in Orono, ME on Monday, August 6, 1906.
On another message board, another woman is looking for a Cyrille Vaillancourt born 1873-1880ish who married a Melina Brideau, born July 9 1883 in New Brunswick, who moved to Van Buren Maine.
Could all these be the same people? Or could there be more than one Cyril Vaillancourt-Melina Brideau pairing?
