Bessie Vair, born early 1800's in Berwickshire, Scotland

I am researching the ancestry of my g-g-g-grandmother,
Elizabeth (Bessie) Vair. I am seeking information on
her parents, as well as her birth and death date.

Bessie's husband was born in 1809 so I'm assuming she
was close to his age.

Bessie married Alexander Milne and together they
had eight children:

James
George
John
Alexander Jr.
William
James
Thomas
Jessie

Three of Bessie's sons were chief engineers on the Great
Lakes bordering the United States and Canada.
