I would greatly appriciate any info on my grandfather, Howard Randall Valk (Van Valkenburgh, Valkenburg), born +/- 1888 in Gloversville, NY. Brother George Valk, sister Mrs. Alvah J. Smith[Elizabeth (Libby) Valk]. Any information on who his father and mother might be would be perfect. The family might have come from Schenectady, NY. There was a John Valkenburgh in Johnstown in 1860 and a Rev. Van Valkenburgh (Pastor of the Methodist church) in Gloverville in 1899.
