Vargas family was originary from Toledo's region, Spain. The first Vargas was Juan de Vargas, who commanded the royal army in the Madrid's reconquest (1085). Your son reconq. Toledo and your grandson, Sevilha. Vargas, in old spanish,was "stone's slope"(?).
