Perry Anderson Viars in SW Virginia

I am searching for information about my grandfather Perry Anderson Viars. He married Juanita Rose and they had two sons: Nicholas Wayne Viars, and Jeffrey Bruce Viars. Nicholas was born in 1951. I had heard that Perry died in the late 1990s or maybe early 2000s, possibly of liver trouble.

Does anyone have any information about him? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
