We seek a Jesse Vick b. abt 1830-35 in NC, who left a wife Mary b.1835 in Halifax co NC,who appears in the 1860 Halifax census with two children Bryant b, 1855, and Georgianna b. 1859 (my grandmother)

Jesse (other given name possibilities are John or Noah)
has never been found ,although he may have been killed in the Civil war, yet we have not identified his military records or his parents. A marriage record does not exist for the couple in NC.

I wonder if he simply left her and moved south or West.
Please check your database for this man.
