The George M. VIRGIN you are looking for was the son of John VIRGIN (called Jacob in the 1880 Census that the Mormons transcribed) as follows:

Jacob (John) VIRGIN - age 50, b. PA - parents both b. PA
Katharine VIRGIN - age 54, b. PA - par. both b. PA (wife)
Louis VIRGIN - age 25, b. PA - par. both b. PA (son)
Nackey VIRGIN - age 23, b. PA - par. both b. PA (dau.)
Horace VIRGIN - age 20, b. PA - par. both b. PA (son)
Nelson VIRGIN - age 15, b. PA - par. both b. PA (son)
George VIRGIN - age 12, b. PA - par. both b. PA (son)
(NOTE: The number in parentheses after the name is the generation down from the first "proven" VIRGIN ancestor.)
This Jacob (John) VIRGIN(6) of the above census was b. 30 May 1830, the son of Rezin and Mahala (HARRIS) VIRGIN of Greene Co., PA. He is listed "John" in his parents' household in the 1850 Census of Aleppo Twp., Greene Co., PA (p. 340).
Rezin VIRGIN(5) was b. ca. 1800-01 in Fayette Co., PA and d. 2 Jan 1873 in Greene Co., PA intestate. Letters of Administration were issue in Greene Co., PA on 6 Apr 1876 to D. W. KEFFER on the estates of both him and his dau. Sarah. (Greene Co., PA Estate File #2900 and #2901) Rezin was the 2nd son of Eli and Nacka (HYATT) VIRGIN of Fayette Co., PA. He was named for his paternal grandfather, Rezin VIRGIN (quite a colorful character of his time).
Eli VIRGIN(4) was b. 4 Feb 1776 and died on 28 Feb 1839. His land was on the eastern side of the Monongahela River, opposite present-day Fredericktown and was deeded to him by his father Rezin VIRGIN. Eli md. Nacka HYATT, dau of John HYATT. After Eli's death, Nacka md. 2) Col. Henry HEATON. Now you can see where the dau. (NACKEY) of the first John VIRGIN above got her name. Eli VIRGIN was the son of Rezin VIRGIN and his wife Jemima ARNOLD (dau. of Jonathan
ARNOLD).
Now the line goes back from Eli as follows. I won't give further information on the following generations, but I have prepared a lengthy Chronological Listing of all of the records that I have gathered over the years for each of them. These can be obtained from me by contacting me personally.
