I am decscended from Celeste LANDRY, whose first husband was Antoine VIVES. According to Stanley Marchand's article "An Attempt to Re-assemble the Old Settlers in Family Groups", first published in the New Orleans Genesis quarterly in 1964, Antoine's father, Juan VIVES was from "Valenzuela", and his grandparents were from Valencia, Spain. I am trying to find out is "Valenzuela" is a corruption of Venazuela. Can anyone help?
