In regards to Granderson Vowell. Our research shows he was Grandison (note spelling) Vowell, b. 1830 in Coal Creek Tn. Married Mary E. b. 1827. Children include Alexander b. 1850, Mose S. b. Dec 3, 1857, Calornay b. 1858, Mary E. b. 1863, Jacob b. 1865, Penelope b. 1869.

We think he was the son of Bannister Vowell b. 1799 TN & Hannah b. 1804. A TN census of 1800 shows two Vowells, Bannister & Herman. Herman b. 1783 in VA.

My wife is a descendent of Mose S. Vowell, and is named after his 1st wife Minda Jane Foust. Mose & Minda are buried in the Faust Cemetary which is south of Lake City TN, and about a mile east of the Medford School, near the Ross Cemetary Road.

We would certainly appreciate any further information on this trail.
Doug Harding
