William Austin Vowell, Sr is in my family - father of several children who married into my Duke family in Tennessee. The earliest records I have of William Austin Vowell Sr is 1800 census in Guilford Co, NC. In 1810 Guilford he has a female b bef 1765 living with him - his mother??
What was the date and county of the record for Elizabeth Vowell giving birth to William Austin Vowell? I have his birth year as between 1775-1784. Would be good to narrow it down.
In my notes I list a William Vowell surrendered at Charleston, SC in 1780, age 20 b Hanover Co, VA. Is this the same William Vowell of 1st Reg, NC?
