My g-g-g-g-grandfather was the son of William Hendrick and Martha Duke of Louisa Co VA, and their son William Hendrick married Ann Vowell, daughter of Thomas Vowell who is documented to be in Louisa in 1746. Eventually, Thomas Vowell, his son-in-law William Hendrick and wife Ann all lived in Mecklenburg Co VA. Thomas had only one son, William, who was father of many children per Mecklenburg tax lists. Would like to exchange notes with you, especially about Wm Austin Vowell. I am involved with Vowell DNA project, including a recent DNA participant who descends from Wm Austin Vowell.
