Theobald was born in 1792 in Alsace. His first wife died and his second wife was Mary Thomasing. They lived in the waterloo area of Ontario,Canada. Rumor has it that Diebold or Theobald (he used both names) first landed in Pennsylvania before going to Ont.His son started the "Fairview" Goldmedal farm in 1886 in Walkerton,Ont. I am trying to find out who his parents,siblings, and 1st wife were.
