Notes on Samuel ()
"Grandfather {Samuel Morrison Sr.} was over six feet tall in height and weighed over 250 lbs., and was a remarkably stout man, dark (not black) hair, blue eyes, fair skin such as Nine tenths of the Morrisons have now. He managed his own farm until over ninety years old and kept house two years and better after grandmother's death, even up to his death. He made his last Will and Testament, but five days before he was one hundred years old, devising as follows:
'To Margaret Young, Five Pound or(13.33)
To James Morrison, Ten pound or(26.66)
To Heirs of John Morrison, Eight Pound or (21.33)
To William Morrison, the farm on which I now live and the farm adjoining the above (about 200 acres and worth at the time about $25.00 an acre)
To Samuel Morrison, One Dollar
To my son Jonah Morrison, the interest of one hundred pounds, during his natural life.'
Of the above, none of the heirs except William got one cent.
