need help finding War of 1812 vets in my family

Cant seem to find anything on the following War of 1812 vets:
Nicholas Bumgardner/Bumgarner
Thomas Watt
William McGaughy
David Entsminger/Ensminger
Shubel Lowrey
I dont know if they filed pensions or even where to begin searching, all I know is that they served in the war. Can anyone help me find any info on them, such as rank, units or battles they were in? If not could somebody steer me in the right direction? I believe Nicholas, Shubel and David were from Ohio (Nicholas may have been from PA) and Thomas and William I think were from Maryland. Thanks in advance for any help!
